Overview
We are seeking a field service high voltage electrical technician for the Vancouver, BC/ Lower Mainland area.
Here are some skills and attributes required:
Safety
Able to look at a single line, identify the equipment you will be working on, isolate it and lock out all the sources that could potentially kill you or a fellow worker.
Experience
-Able to independently perform all testing to whatever piece of equipment you are working on. This should apply to 90% of the everyday equipment seen including transformers, HV/MV/LV circuit breakers, disconnects/loadbreaks, VLF cables, CT’s, PT’s, relays.
-Must be able to test a 600V circuit breaker 100% through. Not, everything except the relay... 100%
-Able to test a distribution transformer and auxiliary devices
Communication
-Ability to write your own technical reports after job completion and communicate clearly in verbal and written English
Availability
Must be available for work during off hours
Offer
Union role, $80 per hour for an individual with the correct experience and fit per requirements outlined.
Required Qualifications :
-Able to perform duties outlined under "experience"
-Demonstrated experience as high voltage electrical technician
-Available for varying work hours
-Electrical Technologist Degree an asset
-Red Seal Power Systems Electrician an asset
-Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
