Job summary

Job description

Hydron is the clean fuel company unlocking “net-zero” energy in the Renewable Natural Gas and Blue Hydrogen markets.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technologist to assist with the assembly, testing, and continuous improvement of Hydron’s manufacturing processes and equipment. This is a hands‑on, on‑site role that works closely with engineering and operations to support production activities and scale‑up efforts.

Responsibilities Include
  • Assisting with manufacturing and assembly of equipment and subsystems
  • Supporting development and improvement of manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and SOPs
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing and assembly issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Supporting quality control activities, inspections, and documentation
  • Assisting with production planning, tooling selection, and workflow optimization
  • Coordinating with suppliers and contractors for fabricated components and assemblies
  • Maintaining accurate production, quality, and traceability records
Skills & Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and work with engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Strong hands‑on mechanical and technical skills
  • Comfortable working in a shop‑floor environment
  • Ability to safely lift and handle items weighing up to 20 lbs
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification as a technologist/technician (e.g., through ASTTBC) is preferred.
  • Experience with process and manufacturing equipment, supporting scale‑up and large‑scale manufacturing
  • Background in cleantech, energy, or industrial gas systems would be an asset.
Salary

CAD $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
