Job summary

FLOFORM Countertops in Winnipeg is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to maintain production equipment and support efficient operations in a high-volume facility. You will contribute to TPM programs, improve setup times, and ensure equipment readiness for reliable manufacturing of countertop surfaces.

The role requires knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, basic computing skills for parts research, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in a related field.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Basic computer skills for parts research.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical and control principles.
• Has or can obtain forklift operators certificate.
• Regular bending, twisting, and kneeling.
• Able to lift 100lbs assisted.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and reliable function of all production equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Implement total productive maintenance plan (TPM) to be carried out by staff throughout production.
• Advise on process changes and associated work instructions/SOP’s.
• Creation of jigs, fixtures, and individual work cells with a focus on efficiency and setup reduction.
• Promote and support ‘5S’ standard throughout the plant.
• Development and control of critical parts inventory.
• General maintenance for local buildings/property and liaison with external contractors.
• Maintain proficiency of current product/material specifications.
• Sets up and calibrates production equipment and tools to ensure effective operation and quality.
• Supports production team as required, including operating equipment and routine housekeeping.
• Participate in team huddles.
• Other duties as assigned
