FLOFORM Countertops in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a full-time Laminate Production Worker to join our local team immediately. The role involves producing laminate countertops at various stages, operating machinery, inspecting quality, and maintaining a clean workstation per safety procedures.

The successful candidate should read measurements, have basic math skills, knowledge of hand and power tools, and be able to lift 60–100 lbs. Prior forklift experience is a plus; equal opportunity employer.

Required immediately, our Local Winnipeg Branch is seeking a full-time Laminate Production Worker to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The production worker is responsible for the production of laminate counter tops at various stages in the manufacturing process. The production worker's duties may vary from operating machinery, assembling materials or equipment, carrying out inspections and quality control for the final product while always maintaining a clean and orderly workstation and observing and adhering to all safety procedures while being an active member of the production team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand measurements
• Basic mathematical skills and good understanding of fractions
• Demonstrated knowledge of hand woodworking tools and the operation of power tools such as table saw, chop saw etc. considered an asset
• Attention to detail
• Able to operate a forklift or obtain license considered an asset
• Able to lift 60lbs- 100lbs regularly

Desired Skills & Experience

• Read the order information on the tape and adjust saw angles accordingly
• Mark the top with the cut lines
• Cut the top to order specifications
• Conduct quality control check to verify proper formation
• Send orders to finishing
• Glue laminate edges onto Countertop
• Sand rough edgesWash the top and conduct a final quality control inspection
• Other duties as assigned
