Linamar Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. You will work with engineers to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve product quality through technical solutions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a technical support or manufacturing technician role, preferably automotive or industrial.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, and process optimization.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements that increase production efficiency and product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on manufacturing equipment to optimize performance.
• Analyze production data and provide recommendations for process enhancements and equipment modifications.
• Support new equipment installations with proper setup, calibration, and integration.
• Assist in preventive maintenance programs to ensure machinery and systems function optimally.

This role focuses on improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, and enhancing product quality through technical solutions and process improvements. The Manufacturing Technician works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing systems are running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment or process issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements that increase production efficiency and product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on manufacturing equipment to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
• Analyze production data and provide recommendations for process enhancements, material usage, and equipment modifications.
• Participate in new equipment installations, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and integration into existing production systems.
• Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs, ensuring all machinery and systems are functioning optimally.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and implementation of solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
• Work with production teams to identify challenges and provide technical solutions to minimize disruptions and maximize output.

Academic/Educational Requirements

• Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or a related technical field.

Required Skills/Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a technical support or manufacturing technician role, preferably in an automotive or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, and process optimization.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
