Your Day to Day

The Manufacturing Technician performs complex mechanical and technical tasks, including constructing, troubleshooting, and maintaining tubes, microwave products, and electro-mechanical devices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing complex mechanical and technical tasks, often without established procedures.
  • Assisting engineers in testing and analyzing products.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings for product design.
  • Calculating layout dimensions using engineering principles.
  • Operating mechanical equipment for construction, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Using discretion and judgment in task evaluation.
  • Designing mechanical tools and fixtures as needed.
  • Recommending design modifications and cost improvements.
  • Providing technical guidance and training others.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with VNA, PNA, Oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analyzer, and other test equipment.
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent technical training plus 10 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical principles and processes.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to use microscopes daily.
  • Ability to meet CGP requirements.
