Job summary

GM of Canada Company is seeking a Paint Mechanical Engineering Specialist for the Oshawa Assembly site. This onsite role focuses on upkeep, improvement and refurbishment of manufacturing equipment in the Oshawa Paint Shop, with scope to manage capital and operating projects from design to validation.

The candidate will collaborate with ME, facilities, and manufacturing teams to drive safety, cost, and schedule improvements, and will interface with external vendors and contractors to ensure

Qualifications

• Post-secondary technical degree or diploma or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to design and model technical solutions using 2D and 3D modelling software (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a proactive safety culture and collaborate cross-functionally with teams.
• Lead capital and operating cost projects from design through installation and validation.
• Oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring safety standards and project specs are met.
