Job summary

Aplin has partnered with a leading global industrial manufacturer to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the startup and operational readiness of a new manufacturing facility in Kirkland, Quebec. This is a 6-month contract for an accomplished project leader with greenfield/brownfield startup, plant expansion, relocation, or major capital project experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of project management experience.
• Strong manufacturing or industrial project experience.
• Experience with plant startup, expansion or relocation is preferred.
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning or capital projects.
• Strong cross-functional project leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, Operations or related discipline preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Fluent English and French communication skills.
• Available for daily on-site work in Kirkland.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the master site startup project plan.
• Establish milestones, dependencies, critical paths and deliverables.
• Coordinate construction, facility and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Coordinate equipment installation and production layout.
• Track schedules, budgets, risks and milestones.
• Identify roadblocks and drive timely resolution.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, vendors and property stakeholders.
• Drive readiness across manufacturing, warehouse, IT, EHS, quality and supply chain.
• Support staffing, training, commissioning and production launch.
• Provide regular project updates to senior leadership.
