Job summary

Leclerc is seeking a Management Controller to lead the operations accounting function at our Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures sites. You will guard cost control practices, supervise a team, and support the management team with variance analysis and project evaluations.

You will guide month-end closes, review product costs, and drive budgeting and KPI reporting to improve margins and data integrity across plants in Canada and the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and CPA designation.
• Five to eight years of experience in a similar role, including people management.
• Strong cost accounting and close-process expertise; manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Fluent in French and English with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and prioritize the tasks of the accounting analyst team.
• Support the Director of Operations Accounting on special projects and initiatives.
• Act as the internal reference for operations accounting and as a resource for management.
• Participate in month-end and year-end procedures and financial statement prep.
• Review cost prices for products and projects and assess profit impact.
• Analyze project costs and financial returns, explain plant performance monthly.
• Lead budgeting processes and implement KPIs for internal managers.
• Ensure data integrity and inventory accuracy across sites and warehouses.
• Strengthen internal controls, address auditor requests, and drive process improvements.
