Job summary

Curaleaf is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to supervise the post‑harvest team from harvest through drying, trimming, curing, milling and packaging. You will own GMP compliance, drive production targets and mentor a skilled team in a regulated environment.

This hands‑on leadership role shapes product quality and operational efficiency while ensuring regulatory adherence in a fast‑growing cannabis business based at our Brampton site.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in the cannabis industry.
  • 1+ year supervisory/lead role in regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience with post-harvest processing: drying, trimming, curing, milling, packaging.
  • Strong GMP compliance knowledge.
  • MS Office proficient; Seed-to-Sale or ERP familiarity advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee post-harvest production from harvest to final packaging.
  • Ensure GMP/Health Canada/EU GMP compliance across processes.
  • Lead and supervise Manufacturing Technicians and agency staff.
  • Plan daily production schedules and optimize throughput.
  • Maintain real‑time records and batch documentation; support audits.

Are you an experienced cannabis manufacturing professional with a passion for quality, compliance and team leadership? We’re seeking a Manufacturing Lead to supervise our post‑harvest team and oversee every stage of production — from harvest through drying, trimming, curing, milling and final packaging. You’ll own GMP compliance, drive production targets, and mentor a skilled team in a fast‑growing, regulated environment.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where your expertise directly shapes product quality, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

ESSENIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Post‑Harvest Production & Quality Assurance
  • Oversee all post‑harvest activities: harvesting, drying, trimming, curing, milling, irradiation, screening, flower evaluation & sorting, and packaging
  • Monitor product quality throughout every stage — moisture content, flower assessment, timely drying takedown — to ensure consistent premium standards
  • Collect & submit samples for QA testing; work with the Quality team to resolve deviations and implement CAPAs
  • Maintain full GMP / Health Canada / EU GMP compliance across all processes; uphold GDP standards and batch‑record accuracy
Team Supervision & Operations Delivery
  • Lead, train and supervise Manufacturing Technicians and agency staff — set clear tasks, coach on SOPs, and uphold safety & compliance expectations
  • Plan daily production schedules, prioritise workflows, and proactively address delays or bottlenecks
  • Track run‑rates, drive efficiency, and recommend process improvements to optimise throughput and reduce waste
  • Manage temporary/contract staff integration; escalated performance or conduct concerns to the Operations Manager
  • Maintain accurate, real‑time records in Seed‑to‑Sale software and all batch documentation
  • Ensure full adherence to sanitation, sterilisation and hygiene protocols across all equipment and work areas
  • Review and update SOPs / work instructions; identify opportunities to refine harvest, drying, trimming and packaging workflows
  • Support internal and external audits through immaculate documentation and process discipline
What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the cannabis industry
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory / lead role within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proven knowledge of post‑harvest processing: drying, trimming, curing, milling, packaging
  • Strong understanding of GMP and strict adherence to compliance standards
  • Computer literate (MS Office); experience with Seed‑to‑Sale or ERP systems highly desirable
  • Flexible — willing to work weekends, evenings and extended shifts as required by production cycles
Preferred
  • Knowledge of Health Canada cannabis regulations, EU GMP and GACP standards
  • Experience with GDP, batch records and deviation / CAPA management
  • Experience leading mixed permanent & contract teams
  • Formal training in quality assurance, production management or process improvement

  • On‑site role in a controlled indoor cultivation & manufacturing facility
  • Physical demands: prolonged standing, lifting up to 25kg (55lbs), bending, crouching, repetitive hand movements
  • Standard PPE provided: safety glasses, footwear, coats, hair/beard covers, aprons, respirators, Tyvek suits as required
  • Exposure to plant material, dust, cleaning solvents, industrial noise and varying temperatures — all within regulated safety limits
