Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to drive daily safety programs on the production floor and partner with cross‑functional teams to improve safety practices. You will conduct audits, lead trainings, and manage incident reporting while staying current with safety regulations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing health & safety, formal OH&S education, and strong communication and organizational skills to foster a culture of safety across the site.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in a manufacturing setting in health & safety.
• Formal education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
• Certified Health & Safety Professional credentials would be an asset.
• Solid knowledge of OHSA/OSHA and related safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
• Perform safety evaluations, audits, and facilitate Joint health and safety committees.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate return-to-work programs with agency partners.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections; identify hazards.
• Lead on-site training sessions for health and safety topics.
• Monitor legislation and industry trends; maintain records and statistics.
