Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Medicine Hat, Alberta, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to support the transition of products from development into production, validate manufacturing docs, processes, and testing for vehicle and payload systems.

You will build assemblies, release production build instructions, review drawings and BOMs for production readiness, and contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing documentation standards while supporting risk assessments and tooling

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary certificate/degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Eligible for CET with ASET.
• Experience in avionics, marine, vehicular military systems, and/or communication equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOM for production readiness.
• Build assemblies, sub-assemblies, modules, and vehicle systems from design data.
• Develop and release production Build Instructions and verification packages.
• Review drawings, BOMs, processes to ensure manufacturability and production readiness.
• Support ATP execution and acceptance testing alignment with design intent.
• Collaborate on tooling, fixtures, and test equipment validation.
• Identify and coordinate corrective actions for documentation discrepancies with design teams.
• Participate in risk assessments, process improvements, and production readiness reviews.
