Carfair Composites Manufacturing Engineer

Carfair Composites is a leader in fiber-reinforced plastic design and composite technologies. Position Summary

Support manufacturing engineering activities and analysis for the assigned site. Lead or support projects to improve production, support HSE initiatives, enhance quality, and support lean manufacturing and service improvements. Lead capital projects as needed.

What You Will Do

• Support manufacturing engineering tasks including analysis, costing, forecasting, project management, quoting, and process development.
• Review and support manufacturing processes, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Lead or support projects to enhance production, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate with lean resources, maintenance, production, and quality teams to meet targets.
• Work with suppliers and inspectors on capital projects and facility modifications.
• Participate in lean initiatives like 5S, value stream mapping, and setup reduction.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Stay current with industry and production technologies to improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree/diploma or related experience.
• Lean certification or equivalent experience recommended.
• Proficiency in MS Office and presentation skills.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective team player.
