Carfair Composites Manufacturing Engineer

Carfair Composites is a leader in fiber-reinforced plastic design and composite technologies. As a subsidiary of NFI Group, we operate in five manufacturing and distribution centers across North America, including Winnipeg, MB; St. Cloud, MN; Anniston, AL; Wausaukee, WI; and Gillett, WI. We supply quality fiberglass components to OEMs in various industries such as agriculture, automotive, construction, transportation, food processing, and medical.

Position Summary

Support all manufacturing engineering activities and analysis related to the assigned site. Lead and support projects to improve production metrics, support HSE initiatives, enhance quality, Lean processes, and service. Manage capital projects as required.

What You Will Do
  • Support manufacturing engineering activities including analysis, costing, forecasting, project management, quoting, CAF development, and presentations.
  • Review and support manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and support projects to enhance production, safety, quality, and service.
  • Collaborate with Lean teams, maintenance, production, and quality to meet targets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and inspectors on capital projects, modifications, and compliance.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve goals and pursue remedial actions.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives like 5S, value stream mapping, and setup reduction.
  • Foster continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Stay current with industry and production technologies to improve manufacturing processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or diploma and related experience.
  • Lean certification or equivalent work experience (recommended).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and presentation skills.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective team player.
