Manufacturing Engineering Specialist - Box Build

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Support team, the Manufacturing Engineering Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production equipment programs, assembly documentation, routings and manufacturing processes used in the fabrication of complex electronic assemblies/system boxes. You will also support the Manufacturing Engineering team in factory wide initiatives relating to production test, product movement, material control and statistical techniques. .

Your Challenge

• Document assembly and process steps to allow manufacturing of products

• Generate and maintain programs for electronic assembly and inspection equipment (AOI, SMT, SPI, Reflow, Selective Solder, etc.)

• Support with the implementation of new equipment and processes

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers to create, update and maintain the MES processes

• Interface with NPI and Design Engineering to coordinate new product release to production

• Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes

• Provide training for manufacturing and test operators

• Design new fixtures to support process change

What You Bring

• Education: Technician / Technologist Diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in warehouse operation or related field preferred

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse technician/technologist role, with hand-on experience with smart warehouse technologies and equipment

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, familiarity with JUKI machines and other relevant equipment, experience with SAP is considered an asset

• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiency.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train and support warehouse staff

• Teamwork: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
