About the team

The Cloud Services team is responsible for the strategic direction, delivery, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure and services to support internal and external customers. We work collaboratively across departments to ensure our cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Our team partners with stakeholders in IT, Security, and R&D to execute cloud strategies that enable innovation and performance at every stage of the cloud service lifecycle. We focus on both driving future advancements and maintaining our existing cloud services to meet the evolving demands of our users and the industry.

What you will do
  • Engage, influence, and evangelize Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) best practices with development, operations, and product groups to align technology with service/solution delivery.
  • Drive quality accountability within the organization with well-defined processes, metrics, and goals for process quality. This includes leading effective postmortems and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
  • Drive capacity planning, performance analysis, instrumentation, and other non-functional systems requirements.
  • Define and report progress on strategic initiatives and project-level tasks to all stakeholders, including senior executives and clients, using effective communication approaches.
  • Propose improvements to the enterprise cloud management platform’s hub and spoke architecture, strategic approaches, and related security governance based on continual review and evaluation of enterprise cloud consumption trends across internal and external business lines.
  • Collect business security requirements and coordinate the development of new or enhanced cloud capabilities based on customer needs, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Work with peers to automate and build tailored solutions with repeatable patterns that can be leveraged across business and IT solutions.
  • Ensure cloud solutions follow established security and compliance controls.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging cloud technologies and industry trends as a thought leader.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and development to the Cloud Services team of diverse skill sets and roles.
Technologies we use
  • Designing and building multi-tenant IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions on Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
  • Cloud-native solution design patterns (microservices, messaging, distributed caching, containers, etc.)
  • Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  • Infrastructure as code development with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building resilient, highly available, and scalable cloud-native platforms in a high-tech, global organization.
  • 3+ years leading teams with operational on-call support rotation.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, data, and application services.
  • Experience leading technical project teams, providing direction, and setting and reporting objectives.
  • Experience delivering managed SaaS services to enterprise customers.
