Job summary

Héroux-Devtek in Longueuil, near Montreal, seeks an industrious engineering intern to support manufacturing and quality teams within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will help track non-conformities, assist in documenting procedures, and participate in ongoing improvement projects, gaining hands-on experience and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in creating and maintaining a non-conformity database for assembly and painting.
• Support production by providing feedback on non-conformities to employees.
• Assist managers in daily activities and monitor production performance indicators.
• Coordinate updates to operational instructions and document procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and documentation updates by technical staff.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation and maintenance of a database of non-conformities in the assembly and painting departments
• Support the production team in providing feedback on non-conformities to employees
• Accompany and support operational managers in their daily activities
• Monitor and improve production performance indicators
• Coordinate the modification of operational instructions
• Resolve industrial problems and monitor projectsActively participate in various continuous improvement workshops
• Support technical specialists in documenting supplier non-conformities or customer returns
• Support technical specialists in updating technical documentation and training materials

Our Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations and Logistics Management (in progress) (approximately 4-month internship)
• College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Construction, or Aircraft Maintenance (in progress) (approximately 4-month internship)
• Attention to detail is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness
• Ability to communicate technical issues effectively
• Fluency in English and French (spoken and written)
• Basic knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing) is an asset
