Ideal candidates hold a accounting degree and CPA/CIA credentials, with 2+ years in external or internal audit, bilingual in French/English, and willing to travel ~25% across Canada/USA/UK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise ICFR testing with external firm.

• Support continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
• Participate in risk management engagements.
• Contribute to process improvement or redesign projects.
• Manage commercial insurance renewals, deadlines and price negotiations.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in the coordination and supervision of ICFR testing (based on the 52-109 compliance mandate), outsourced to an external firm.
• Contribute to the analysis, collection, planning, execution, testing, and documentation of processes and information related to the results of operational internal audit engagements.
• Propose and implement recommendations for the continuous improvement of operational internal audit controls and processes, and monitor their implementation.
• Actively participate in the overall continuous improvement of the internal audit function at Héroux-Devtek;
• Be involved in various risk management engagements;
• Contribute to various special corporate projects, such as process improvement or redesign;
• Participate in the management of the company's commercial insurance portfolio, including, but not limited to; renewal management, contract compliance with current deadlines, and price negotiation (price analysis).

Our Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA program in progress, ideally after passing the EFC. with 2 years of experience in external or internal audit;
• CPA or CIA certification a major asset;
• Diligent, autonomous but a team player;
• Good analytical, listening and communication skills;
• Flexible and able to adapt;
• Bilingual French / English (spoken and written);
• Availability for regular travel (Canada, USA, UK, Spain) – approximately 25%;
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (mainly Excel).
