We are seeking a talented On-site Manufacturing Engineer-Hybrid to join our Electrolyzer-Operation team at the Accelera by Cummins Site in Mississauga, ON.
In this role, you will :
- Ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
- Improve manufacturing equipment and processes using your knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.
- Utilize continuous improvement tools to enhance work efficiency and quality.
- Follow Cummins standards and lead the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
- Communicate effectively with and influence key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
- Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to Cummins’ processes.
- Maintain relationships and coach key stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements :
- Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
- Develop and deliver effective communication tailored to different audiences.
- Champion proactive health and safety behaviors to promote an injury-free workplace.
- Interpret engineering drawings to develop manufacturing processes.
- Select and procure manufacturing equipment that meets specifications.
- Use digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes for data-driven decisions.
- Implement process improvements, tooling, and equipment changes to meet functional needs.
- Produce clear manufacturing procedures for process standardization.
- Possess a degree in STEM or related field, with intermediate relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of industrial safety regulations, supervisory experience, and familiarity with manufacturing KPIs.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal forming, CNC machining, and automation technologies.
- High proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and understanding of GD&T standards.
- Ability to lead problem-solving activities using root cause analysis tools.
