A leading engineering firm in Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to spearhead the design and execution of underground infrastructure projects. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring safety and productivity, and leading design initiatives for maintenance and operational infrastructure in an underground mining context. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and significant experience in the field, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Reporting to the Senior Projects Engineering Lead, the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will perform his / her duties as a member of the Engineering Department and collaborate with other departments of the division.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, planning and execution of engineering services for the underground project. They will handle aspects of underground mine design and bring a wealth of construction experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in design and construction underground infrastructure such maintenance garage, crushers, raises, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, etc. They will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting our Client’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
