Job summary

Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking a Cost Accountant to build and own the cost accounting function in a fast‑paced, highly technical manufacturing environment.

You will design, implement, and refine costing standards and reports while embedding in day‑to‑day production activities. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead ERP costing work, BOM/routing validation, inventory valuation, and variance analyses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, absorption costing, and variances.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations and cost accounting modules.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain standard costing framework.
• Maintain product cost structures aligned with BOMs and routings.
• Perform cost roll-ups and absorption costing for finished goods.
• Analyze COGS and gross margins across products and regions.
• Lead ERP costing configuration, data migration, and testing.
• Collaborate with Operations to identify cost drivers and improvements.
