Job summary

Les Branchés Lunetterie is seeking an optical technician to analyze eyewear prescriptions and measure eye metrics at our Mont-Tremblant location.

You will assist clients in selecting frames, provide contact lens guidance, and ensure lenses are cut, edged, and fitted accurately for comfort and vision.

Qualifications

• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• Education in optical or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the client’s eyeglasses or contact lenses and measure eye curvature, pupillary distance and bridge width with optical devices.
• Obtain specifications for eyeglasses and contact lenses from a physician prescription.
• Supervise or manage activities of other opticians or student opticians.
• Assist clients in selecting eyeglasses.
• Advise on use and care of contact lenses.
• Arrange grinding or polishing of lenses; grind and polish lenses.
• Cut and edge lenses and fit into frames.
• Adjust finished eyeglasses to fit the client.
