Qualifications

As a Managing Consultant, you have specialized in your technical and functional niche over several years and now also lead in ensuring successful project delivery for clients. You will develop and implement data solutions hands-on while managing project scope, time, budget, and quality. Your role is versatile, involving various tasks across missions, with a primary focus on leveraging your technical skills and pre-sales expertise to drive business growth and deliver exceptional data solutions. Flexibility and organizational skills are essential, along with your experience as a technical expert.

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields, with a strong interest in IT and emerging technologies.
  • Extensive expertise in technologies, frameworks, and data modeling (Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Manipulation, Big Data Engineering).
  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience leading implementations with tools such as Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure, Tableau, Qlik, Talend, Dataiku, SAS, SAP Business Objects, Power BI, Informatica Powercenter, IBM DataStage, Oracle BI, SQL, Python, Hadoop, Java, among others.
  • Project management experience, preferably with agile certifications (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience designing and analyzing complex, high-volume data from diverse sources, providing tailored solutions.
  • Knowledge of data architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external audiences.
  • Understanding of common data language, definitions, and KPIs.
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to clients.
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, forecasts, and workforce planning.
  • Fluent in English and/or French.
  • Experience creating Proof of Concepts (POC).
  • Experience responding to complex RFPs.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leading the full lifecycle of analytics, BI, CPM, or digital projects (development, analysis, design, architecture, implementation).
  • Understanding organizational challenges related to data siloing and value creation.
  • Developing new data solutions to meet client needs (designing data models, ETL, data storage, business logic, complex visualizations).
  • Creating deliverables based on customer workshops and structured guidelines.
  • Architecting data solutions.
  • Designing and developing complex data models.
  • Contributing technical insights during sales processes to secure new business.
  • Designing proofs of concept to demonstrate solutions to clients.
  • Building compelling value propositions.
  • Translating functional and technical requirements into tool capabilities.
  • Developing and promoting best practices.
  • Enhancing delivery methodologies with lessons learned.
  • Leading project teams and internal staff.
  • Setting objectives and KPIs for junior consultants.
  • Managing consultants' careers.
  • Overseeing project profitability (time, budgets, margins).
