The opportunity

As a Tax Services Manager, you will join our Global Compliance & Reporting group, which comprises talented professionals providing compliance and provision services across various industries, including consumer products, energy, financial services, manufacturing, technology, entertainment, communications, and health sciences.

Your key responsibilities include managing and coordinating tax compliance and provision work for clients, leading and collaborating with talented professionals dedicated to excellent client service. The work arrangement for this role will be hybrid.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Executing corporate, personal, trust, and partnership assignments, including planning, compliance, provision, and controversy matters.
  • Providing high-quality services that exceed client expectations.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff to ensure accurate and complete work.
  • Staying updated on tax trends, legislative changes, and authority decisions, and applying them to complex situations.
  • Identifying opportunities for tax planning and contributing to thought leadership.
  • Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and proprietary information.
Minimum qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field and at least 5 years of Canadian corporate tax experience.
  • Accounting designation or relevant certification or experience.
  • Completion of CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
  • Strong supervisory, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to learning in a tax technology environment.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, documentation skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred qualities
  • Maturity, proactive attitude, motivation, and teamwork orientation.
