Metrics CPA is looking for a Tax Manager to join our high-growth team focused on digital asset tax, accounting, and financial strategy. This role offers flexible remote working options, with the ability to work from our downtown Victoria office or remotely.
Metrics is a progressive CPA firm specializing in digital assets. Since 2016 we have been helping Canadian clients navigate the complexities of cryptocurrency, blockchain, DeFi, mining, staking, NFTs, and related tax and accounting issues. We are experts in digital asset tax, accounting, and financial strategy - constantly studying the future of the space while delivering practical, high-quality work. We also service clients in traditional industries with a focus on real estate and tech companies.
We operate fully in the cloud with a modern, paperless tech stack. Our team works closely with founders, operators, investors, and companies to provide income tax preparation, tax planning, tax filings and CRA representation.
We offer competitive compensation packages, flexible work arrangements, strong support for professional development, and a collaborative culture focused on results rather than hours. Our goal is to hire high-performing, interesting, happy people and keep them high-performing, interesting and happy.
We are guided by a clear set of values: Professional, Efficient, Inspired, Connected, Driven, and Happy. We look for people who take pride in technical excellence and integrity, communicate openly, find practical solutions, and value a healthy work/life balance.
You will join Metrics as a Manager within our Tax & Compliance Group. This is a senior individual contributor / people-leadership role with significant upward mobility and growth opportunity within the firm as we continue to scale our digital-asset practice.
Reporting to Partners and Senior Managers, you will manage and review (and sometimes prepare) compliance engagements including:
You will work with a diverse client base of digital asset traders and creators, Web3 companies, and traditional businesses. Please note that digital asset cost-basis determination and profit/loss calculations across for complex portfolios is not required as a part of this role (those are handled by our digital asset specialists).
If you are an experienced tax professional who wants to deepen your expertise in one of the most dynamic areas of Canadian tax practice, we would love to hear from you.
