Job summary

Stanley Black and Decker in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Supply Planning Manager to lead Canadian inventory planning and strengthen the IBP/S&OP cadence. Qualifications

• Advanced computer systems skill set & creativity (JDA, SAP, Excel, Access, Business Warehouse)
• Strong organizational, leadership/decision making, creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey goals and initiatives to team members and senior management.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work in order to accomplish multiple and changing priorities within specified timeframes and operate at the strategic and tactical/detailed levels.
• Proactive, energetic, professional self-starter with excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement culture while implementing the strategy roadmap to improve service, working capital, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Lead the Canadian market voice for IBP Cadences, S&OE Cadences, Capacity Planning, NPD, and Team Meetings; support IBP alignment.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and finance to understand demand drivers and improve planning accuracy.
• Deploy Statistical Safety Stocks strategy from a systems and process standpoint.
• Navigate the business through short supply challenges.
• Coordinate planning and analysis for critical power tool components.
• Support S&OP process alignment.
• Pursue continuous improvement within planning processes.
• Work with Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales to meet inventory and turns targets while maintaining service levels.
• Ensure 100% fill rate when advising production dates for new products or promotions.
• Assist with product transitions and discontinuations.
• Advise on inventory management and replenishment best practices.
• Coach the career growth of supply planning professionals; provide excellent service to customers.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to refine supply chain strategy.
• Drive development and execution of special projects across the supply planning team.
• Understand cost implications of business strategy in decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on many projects and initiatives

They will have overall accountability for leading the inventory planning strategy supporting our Canadian Supply Planning team. • Coach the career growth of supply planning professionals with a focus on providing excellent service to our internal and external customers
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to create and continuously revisit a supply chain strategy to meet the evolving needs of the business and our customers
• Drive the development and execution of special projects across the supply planning team
• Clearly understand the Supply Chain operational and cost implications of the business strategy and implement this knowledge in all decisions
• Work effectively cross functionally with supply chain peer group in identifying, prioritizing and delivering on a wide range of projects and initiatives
