## Sr. Demand & Inventory Planner (6-12 Month Contract)Apply: Toronto, Canada: Full time: Posted Yesterday: REQ-26721**The Role****The Role****6-12 month contract**This role is responsible for leading and owning the in-market demand planning and inventory management process by implementing and championing that process for the Canadian market. This role will support the business to successfully achieve its business objectives through driving improved demand planning and inventory forecast accuracy/visibility.**You Will****Demand Planning & Integrated Business Planning*** Leads IBP programme across functions and channels to generate a forecast that is aligned to strategic direction and supported by sales activity* Leads structured demand review sessions with both Sales and PM teams to align demand to category strategy* Leads structured collaborating customer facing demand review sessions reviewing performance to demand KPI’s, projected demand, promo activity to support demand & seasonality planning* Ensures all assumptions, risks and opportunities in the demand plan are clearly articulated, with demand validated by turns for retail and demand validated by orders for builder* Utilizes analytical methods to understand, predict and improve the market demand plan. Understanding the key assumptions and drivers of changes, ensuring alignment to organisational strategy and leading goals* Owns the in-market data maintenance requirement within the demand planning tool to optimize statistical forecasting and drive improvements to baseline demand.* Leads the review and adjustment of NPI forecasts based on performance and changed assumptions.* Influence forecast accuracy improvements* Improves forecast accuracy and bias to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI) with insights, and aligned actions to close the gap. Understands the key assumptions and drivers of change.* Measures and tracks business performance objectives through KPI and develops continuous improvement action plans to improve business performance.* Reporting on over and under performance to demand plan & the previous month's results* Responsible for the planning, delivery and execution of strategic business transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practice and GSC strategy.* Collaborates with Global Supply Chain for continuous improvement opportunities, and communicates in-market**Supply Management*** Applies sound analytical process and communication to identify up stream impacts on supply to stakeholders and articulates impact at a channel level.* Ensure undersupply and backorders are monitored, appropriately actioned and are communicated to relevant stakeholders.* High attention paid to identifying fulfilment gaps when supply does not meet demand, clearly articulating them through markets and factories with mitigation options and actions in place to remedy.**Inventory Management*** Category inventory health governance ensuring excess and obsolete stock is identified, communicated, and responsibility allocated to maintain healthy inventory levels.* Identify and facilitate improvement initiatives to reduce backorders, slow moving, trade seconds and obsolete stock* Reviews and articulates the inventory impact on demand signal changes.* Collaborates with global supply chain on category inventory strategy; product replenishment parameters safety settings, reorder points, and supply routes and stocking points, make to order.* Provides input into the global supply chain inventory budget process, aligning the budget with market stakeholders.* Forward focus on inventory health to ensure we deliver to budget and the operating cash strategic imperatives.* Highly effective planning of the NPI/EOL process in accordance with the Launch Managers and product management* Provides insights and information relating to supersessions and New Product Introduction (NPI). Monitors sell-out plans for obsolete models and sell-in of NPI models.**You Have:*** Minimum 5 years’ experience in complex manufacturing or Supply Chain business, ideally within a Global, multi-national organization in a demand planning and inventory management function.* Experience in planning and inventory management with an in depth understanding of general supply chain principles.* Proven influencing skills with a track record of building sustained partnerships.* High level of accuracy and detail oriented* Highly skilled in the planning systems; Vanguard, JDE* Knowledge of Demand Planning and S&OP Cycle and key activities and statistical models* Takes personal responsibility for own work and accountability for agreed actions.* Able to clearly communicate key facts and information in a concise and confident manner.* Displays initiative; is proactive and solutions focused.The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000.
