Job summary

RBC in Toronto seeks a Regulatory Change professional to track, assess, and communicate regulatory changes and their impact to compliance and business stakeholders.

You will engage with teams on systems and controls, perform monitoring, document assessments, and report on actions. A university degree and 5+ years in compliance/risk are required, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • University degree required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compliance, legal or risk management.
  • Process oriented with ability to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive teamwork.
  • Adaptable to change management.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders on regulatory change systems and controls.
  • Perform monitoring activities and other regulatory change controls.
  • Document and process new regulatory change assessments.
  • Determine applicability of regulatory changes to business segments as needed.
  • Review and report on regulatory enforcement actions.
  • Prepare stakeholder reporting materials.
  • Support the Director and Associate Directors on initiatives.

This is an opportunity to join the compliance professionals on the Regulatory Change Canada team. The role is responsible for tracking, assessing and communicating regulatory change and its impacts to compliance and business stakeholders.

What will you do?
  • Engage with stakeholders on regulatory change systems and controls
  • Perform monitoring activities and other regulatory change controls
  • Document and process new regulatory change assessments
  • Determine whether a regulatory change is applicable to a business segment as assigned from time to time
  • Review and report on regulatory enforcement actions
  • Engage with stakeholders regarding the status of regulatory changes
  • Prepare stakeholder reporting materials
  • Providing support to the Director and Associate Directors, including other initiatives or projects as required
What do you need to succeed?
  • University degree
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a Compliance, Legal and/or Risk Management
  • Process oriented and able to identify process efficiency opportunities
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactive team player
  • Adaptable to driving and responding to change management
