Job summary

PixMob is seeking a Technical Purchasing, Rental & Inventory Manager to oversee procurement, equipment rental, and inventory planning for live events from our Montréal HQ. You’ll manage supplier contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery while respecting budgets and deadlines.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years as a Buyer with international sourcing experience, plus strong ERP skills and English/French fluency.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Technical Purchasing, Rental & Inventory Manager

Procurement & Technical Equipment Rental

• Manage equipment purchasing required for the workshop and technical equipment department operations.
• Lead technical equipment rentals for live events, negotiating agreements based on annual rental costs with various suppliers.
• Support specific purchasing requests for event production projects while strictly respecting budgets and deadlines.
• Conduct sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation with local and international suppliers based on event locations and equipment needs.
• Build and nurture an international supplier network.
• Demonstrate high responsiveness to source express supply solutions during field emergencies or last-minute changes.
• Secure the best terms for pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with suppliers.

Inventory Management & Equipment Planning

• Actively contribute to anticipating and planning short-, medium-, and long-term equipment needs in collaboration with the workshop.
• Maintain and update the equipment inventory management system.
• Participate in physical inventory counts, stock rationalization, and management of obsolete or damaged equipment replacement.

Logistics & Administrative Follow-up

• Track orders and ensure on-time delivery of equipment.
• Validate the compliance of purchase orders, invoices, and customs documentation.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent).
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Buyer, ideally in the international live events industry.
• Proven international sourcing skills, with comfort in negotiating with global suppliers (managing time zones, customs, etc.).
• Strong proficiency with inventory management / ERP software (e.g., Flex Rental Solutions, RentalWorks, Odoo, advanced Excel).
• High agility, reactivity, and strong problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.

You’ll need to be fluent in English (written & spoken), as day-to-day work involves international clients — US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and more. French fluency is also required for local collaboration.
