We’re looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone’s journeys better.

Position Summary :

We are seeking a passionate Operations Leader for our Toronto Flight Kitchen. If you possess strong leadership skills and labour planning experience, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career. Reporting to the Director of Service and Delivery, the Transportation Manager will oversee our Transportation Team, comprising over 100 Drivers operating in a highly time-sensitive industry. You will collaborate with the team to meet safety, security, on-time performance, and efficiency goals. This operation runs 24/7.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
  1. Ensure safety, security, quality, and compliance with airline customer, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  2. Conduct audits to validate compliance.
  3. Develop and implement short- and long-term goals for the Transportation Department.
  4. Engage with Supervisors, Team Leads, and front-line employees to drive performance, development, retention, and foster a positive team culture.
  5. Collaborate on process improvements benefiting the organization.
  6. Participate in interviewing, hiring, performance management, training, and corrective actions.
  7. Ensure new employees receive adequate training on operational procedures, health and safety, and company rules.
  8. Manage employees within the collective agreement.
  9. Oversee labour planning throughout the cycle to meet operational needs and budgets.
  10. Lead health and safety initiatives, including participation in H&S committees and accident reduction plans.
  11. Support modified work plans and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  12. Ensure compliance with Food Safety SOPs.
  13. Investigate and resolve service deficiencies, accidents, or incidents promptly.
  14. Maintain accurate employee time records and submit payroll details timely.
  15. Ensure fleet maintenance within budget, including cleaning standards.
Education :
  • Background in operations or logistics is advantageous.
Work Experience :
  • Minimum of 5 years in Operations Management within a fast-paced environment.
  • Labour planning experience is a plus.
  • Experience in regulated environments or managing large fleets is beneficial.
Job Skills :
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PC skills.
  • Availability for rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Communication Skills :
