Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home Inc. in Regina is seeking a permanent, full-time Manager of Finance and Payroll. You will lead financial and accounting systems, ensure asset control, oversee payroll and benefits, and partner with the Executive Director to provide timely reporting.

You will develop budgets, support audits, and implement changes to internal processes while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and adherence to policies.

Formación

• Advanced accounting competency with commerce or accounting diploma.
• Minimum 24 months of experience providing financial and accounting oversight and management.
• Experience with finance, accounting, and/or payroll and benefits within the Saskatchewan health care system is an asset.
• Above-average computer fluency (advanced Excel) and comfort with multiple technologies.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsabilidades

• Maintain financial reporting for the Home and its registered charitable foundation.

The Position

We are recruiting a permanent, full-time Manager of Finance and Payroll. As a member of our out-of-scope leadership team, you report to the Executive Director. You serve as the leader responsible for the development and provision of financial and accounting systems to ensure effective asset control, budgetary planning, expenditures and revenue control, and timely reporting. The Manager also supports payroll and benefits administration and works closely with the Payroll and Benefits Associate.

• Maintaining an efficient and effective financial reporting system for both the Home and its registered charitable foundation
• Creating, analysing, interpreting, and reviewing financial and management information for internal and external reporting purposes
• Analyzing and reconciling banking, financial and accounting information
• Overseeing the administration of our payroll and benefits
• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Supporting the annual independent audit
• Assisting with the preparation of our annual operating and capital budgets
• Developing and implementing changes to the internal business practices
• Ensuring adherence to financial and payroll policies
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable and ensuring timely payment and collection

The Individual

Interested individuals should have:

• An advanced accounting competency achieved through a commerce or accounting diploma and a minimum of 24 months experience providing financial and accounting oversight and management to a mid-sized company
• Experience with finance, accounting, and/or payroll and benefits within the Saskatchewan health care system are a definite asset.
• Above-average computer fluency (advanced excel, etc) and an ease with multiple technologies
• Exceptional organization and time management skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written, with multiple audiences)

We would consider less than full-time or flexible work weeks. Santa Maria offers a competitive salary with full out-of-scope SAHO and SHEPP benefits (transferable with no break of service for SHA employees or employees of other member sites).
