Our client, a big 5 bank, is looking to hire an experienced Legal Entity Accountant to join their finance team. This role will focus on managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for legal entities within the organization. The successful Legal Entity Accountant will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

***Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office per week

The Key Responsibilities include the following;

• Oversee and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for legal entities
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in audits, including providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Analyze and explain variances in financial reports, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or legal entity management
• CPA designation, or enrolled in the program
• Strong knowledge of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for a public Financial Institution
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications include the following;

• CPA designation or equivalent certification
• Experience working in a financial institution or similar highly regulated environment
