JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our team as Manager, IT Delivery - Finance Products.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Delivery - Finance Products, this role involves leveraging deep functional knowledge of business requirements and SAP systems to understand customer needs, providing strategic advice on SAP platforms and modules, and managing initiative execution, development cycles, and IT daily operations for product delivery. Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution while collaborating with the SAP/ERP team for optimal solutions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Oversee and manage both the functional and technical aspects of the SAP/ERP team, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical execution.
2. Act as a bridge between business needs and IT, translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing technical guidance.
3. Provide strategic technical advice on SAP platforms and modules, staying current on emerging SAP trends.
4. Lead and manage the financial IT function (SAP/ERP and Custom Applications), ensuring smooth integration with financial processes and maintaining team performance.
5. Foster strong customer relationships and own the business management experience.
6. Lead and support the SAP/ERP team in a unionized environment, ensuring compliance with labor agreements and fostering a positive work culture.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize SAP systems and deliver solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
8. Manage projects related to SAP implementation, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring resource efficiency and stakeholder engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 4-year Bachelor’s Degree with a technical background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2. Over 7 years of relevant experience.
3. Strong understanding of SAP/ERP systems, including SAP FI/CO modules and S/4 HANA & SAP ECC platforms.
4. Ability to translate business needs into SAP system implementations.
5. Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
6. Experience providing strategic guidance on SAP systems without hands-on configuration or coding.
7. Deep understanding of SAP integration with financial processes.
8. Proven ability to manage customer relationships and deliver high-quality service.
9. Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and IT governance frameworks like ITIL, COBIT.
10. Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions and integrations.
