This is a temporary 12 month position

Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Innovation with 10+ years of experience to join our Innovation and Partnerships function within the Technology Strategy team. This role will support the link to the broader technology team as well as the Consumer and Rogers Sports and Media teams. The primary purpose is to drive 5G monetization trials and demonstrations that support long-term Technology team initiatives by connecting them to external innovation. The ideal candidate will also work closely with hyperscalers and global operators to identify and bring innovations to life.

What You’ll be doing:

  • Be a key lead in the 5G Program by identifying new and emerging opportunities and surfacing key focus areas tied to C-level priorities.
  • Identify, develop, and plan executive engagements with strategic partners to identify new opportunities and define a systematic program to identify and move forward key initiatives with a particular focus on Consumer Wireless as well as Sports and Media.
  • Manage the backlog of relevant partner opportunities against strategic objectives, priorities, and KPIs.
  • Communicate and program manage opportunities, including regular updates to Leadership.
  • Manage theme-based relationships with strategic partners, key suppliers, global tech leaders, and operators.
  • Support the process for innovative companies and start-ups from around the world to engage with Rogers on key strategic areas related to 5G.
  • Establish appropriate owners for high-potential concepts.
  • Participate in the delivery stages of innovation (design solution, build, and scale).

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in technology-focused roles.
  • Advanced user of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong ability to take abstract concepts and articulate them clearly.
  • Excellent relationship management, leadership, and influencing skills to ensure continuous business support from key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Creative and not afraid to explore white space ideas and new strategic concepts.
  • Knowledge of key domains: 5G, Edge Computing, AI/ML, Cloud, IoT.
