Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Manager, Food Services to lead the overall operations of food services in Prince George. The role involves financial, strategic and operational planning, policy implementation, capital expenditures and HR practices within the regional context.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics with 7–10 years of relevant leadership experience, licensure with the College of Dietitians of BC and Dietitians of Canada, and Food Safe Levels 1 and 2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics with 7–10 years recent experience in a similar role.
• Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of BC and Dietitians of Canada.
• Food Safe Level 1 and 2.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience with CBORD Food and Nutrition, or other diet software an asset.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle.

Position Summary

The Manager, Food Services – Prince George manages the overall operations of services within Prince George. The Manager is responsible for financial, strategic and operational planning, management of the implementation of policies and processes, capital expenditures, cost control strategies and human resource practices. The incumbent networks within the regional structure for the integration of services.

The salary range for this position is $90,770 (min) to $113,462 (midpoint) to $130,481 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Northern Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

Qualfications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics with seven (7) to ten (10) years recent experience in a similar role in an organization of moderate complexity;
• Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of BC and Dietitians of Canada.
• Food Safe Level 1 and 2.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience with CBORD Food and Nutrition, or other diet software an asset.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle.
