Job summary

Brock Canada is seeking a Manager, Fleet to lead Brock's owned and leased vehicle fleet across the organization. You will work with operations, vendors, and partners to ensure a safe, compliant, cost-efficient fleet that supports evolving business needs.

This full-time role focuses on lifecycle management, maintenance strategy, budget and KPI reporting, and building strong cross-functional relationships to drive continuous improvement in fleet performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, asset management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, asset management, transportation, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience with fleet procurement, maintenance programs, lifecycle planning, vendor management, and asset disposition.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle safety, inspection, registration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Experience developing performance metrics, reports, budgets, policies, and programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative leadership style and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with fleet management or ERP systems.
  • Experience with CGC, BDMS, or comparable ERP is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and day-to-day management of Brock’s owned and leased vehicle fleet.
  • Coordinate vehicle sourcing and procurement, including specifications and lifecycle cost considerations.
  • Evaluate purchase, lease, and third-party rental options based on requirements.
  • Develop maintenance strategies to improve availability, reliability, and utilization.
  • Analyze maintenance costs to support repair-versus-replace decisions.
  • Identify surplus or obsolete fleet assets and manage disposition.
  • Establish inventory and asset-control practices across the fleet.

  • Develop fleet KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for leadership.

The Opportunity

Brock is seeking a Manager, Fleet to provide strategic and operational leadership across our owned and leased vehicle fleet.

Working closely with operational leaders, vendors, and other business partners, this position will ensure Brock’s fleet is safe, compliant, cost-effective, and positioned to meet evolving business needs. The Manager, Fleet will oversee the full vehicle lifecycle—from planning and procurement through maintenance, utilization, and disposal—while using data and strong commercial judgment to guide decisions.

This is an opportunity for an experienced fleet leader to strengthen programs, improve visibility and accountability, and help shape the future of fleet management at Brock.

What You’ll Do
Fleet Strategy and Lifecycle Management
  • Lead the planning and day-to-day management of Brock’s owned and leased vehicle fleet.
  • Coordinate vehicle sourcing and procurement, including defining specifications and evaluating quality, price, operational needs, and total lifecycle cost.
  • Evaluate purchase, lease, and third-party rental options based on operational requirements and capital priorities.
  • Develop maintenance strategies that improve vehicle availability, reliability, and utilization.
  • Analyze maintenance and repair costs to support informed repair-versus-replacement decisions.
  • Coordinate the identification, management, and disposition of surplus or obsolete fleet assets.
  • Establish inventory and asset-control practices that strengthen accountability across the fleet.
Safety, Compliance, and Policy
  • Promote and demonstrate Brock’s BSafe and BBest culture in all aspects of fleet operations.
  • Ensure vehicles are appropriately inspected, registered, documented, and maintained in accordance with company requirements and applicable federal and provincial regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain fleet policies and programs that support safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor inspections, violations, citations, and other compliance-related activity, ensuring appropriate follow-up and corrective action.
  • Oversee compliance with company-owned and employee-leased vehicle policies, identifying and reporting exceptions when required.
  • Manage vehicle telematics, including data collection, user access, reporting, and adherence to policies related to speeding, seatbelt use, and other safe-driving expectations.
Financial and Operational Performance
  • Coordinate and negotiate fleet maintenance, leasing, and management agreements while monitoring vendor performance.
  • Participate in annual budget development and support ongoing cost management.
  • Develop fleet KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for executive and regional leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet utilization, fuel economy, and overall cost performance.
  • Oversee fuel-card administration and monitor usage for accuracy, compliance, and potential savings.
  • Use fleet data and operational insight to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
Leadership and Partnerships
  • Lead, coach, and develop fleet personnel, establishing clear expectations and supporting their continued growth.
  • Build productive relationships with operational leaders, employees, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Partner across the organization to develop and implement broader Asset Management strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead fleet-related change effectively, ensuring new policies, processes, and expectations are clearly communicated and consistently applied.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, asset management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in fleet operations, asset management, transportation, or a related field.
  • At least four years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with fleet procurement, maintenance programs, lifecycle planning, vendor management, and asset disposition.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle safety, inspection, registration, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate costs, interpret fleet data, and make sound business decisions.
  • Experience developing performance metrics, reports, budgets, policies, and operational programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using inventory, telematics, fleet management, or ERP systems.
  • Experience with CGC, BDMS, or a comparable ERP system is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office-based, with occasional field and outdoor work.
  • Travel will be required based on operational needs.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn when visiting applicable operational or project locations.
