Lynwood Charlton Centre (“LCC”) seeks a strategic and innovative leader for the role of Manager, Flamborough Program (“Manager”). This role offers an opportunity to be part of the revitalization, expansion, and evolution of child and youth mental health services.

ABOUT LCC

LCC is a publicly funded charitable organization in Hamilton, providing a spectrum of evidence-based mental health services, including residential, day treatment, and community-based programs for children, youth, and families.

Fully accredited, LCC is the Lead Agency for the Hamilton service area for Moving on Mental Health, a Ministry initiative to improve mental health service experiences and strengthen community-based systems. We coordinate services, advocate for improvements, and foster collaboration with community partners, including child welfare, health, and education sectors. We are currently hiring a Manager, Flamborough Program.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Intensive Out of Home Programs, the Manager oversees the Flamborough intensive out-of-home program, ensuring compliance with legislative and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include providing direction to Child and Youth Care and Social Work staff, supervising Support Services staff, and managing administrative duties.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying advanced principles of clinical operations in similar settings.
  • Reviewing case reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coaching staff on applying assessment recommendations to treatment plans.
  • Evaluating treatment effectiveness and striving for improvement.
  • Applying different intervention models with children, youth, and families.
  • Making decisions regarding client intake, treatment, and discharge.
  • Collaborating on program budgets with the Director.
  • Participating in on-call duties on a rotating basis.
  • Representing the agency at community functions and developing community linkages.
  • Working with stakeholders, including Ministry reps, community partners, youth, and families.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring proper training and coaching.
  • Supporting staff education and training initiatives annually.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate has:

  • At least five years of progressive management experience in a relevant sector, with a strong understanding of child and youth mental health in Ontario.
  • Experience building and leading teams.
  • Clear role boundaries, transparency, and accountability.
  • Proven success in managing complex initiatives and fostering partnerships.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to promote program value.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Management experience in a not-for-profit children’s mental health setting.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Knowledge of legislation and licensing processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid G class driver’s license and reliable vehicle for local travel, with minimum $1M liability insurance.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
