Job summary

Rogers Communications, Inc. in Toronto, ON is seeking a Finance Manager in Wireless Finance to lead revenue planning and reporting for hardware revenue and to guide month-end, forecast, and budgeting cycles.

You will analyze hardware economics, monitor IFRS 15 compliance, and partner with business and finance stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and financial performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CA/CMA/CGA or MBA with strong accounting foundation.
• Knowledge and experience with IFRS 15 required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a progressive environment related to device margin.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Understand drivers of Hardware revenue performance, including KPIs, discounts, funding, margin, and IFRS Revenue Recognition policy.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely reporting for revenue per IFRS.
• Lead month-end, forecast, planning and budgeting submissions.
• Monitor revenue performance; communicate variances, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare variance commentary on financial results and key business indicators; partner with the business on changes in hardware economics.
• Support decision making by assessing feasibility and profitability of opportunities.
• Assist with audit requirements and SOX compliance; ensure documentation is maintained.
• Manage ad-hoc analytical requests from leadership with the finance team.

The Wireless Finance team is seeking a strong and dedicated Finance Manager to join their Wireless finance operations Group and support the overall financial planning and reporting for hardware revenue.

The manager will lead and guide wireless revenue growth initiatives and be responsible for revenue reporting and consolidation to support Month End as well as the Forecast and budgeting planning cycles. A thought leader, the Finance Manager will contribute to set/lead the tactical direction based on thorough understanding of business issues, financial goals and competitive environment highlighting risks and opportunities.

What you'll do:

• Have a thorough understanding of the drivers for Hardware revenue performance; KPIs, hardware discounts (above and below the line), funding, margin and IFRS Revenue Recognition policy
• Responsible for complete, accurate and timely reporting for revenue in accordance with IFRS
• Manage and ensure timely submissions of month end, forecast, planning and budgeting
• Proactively monitor revenue performance to ensure forecast accuracy, communicating variances, risks and opportunities
• Prepare variance commentary on financial results and key business indicators in partnership with business articulating changes in Hardware economics
• Partner with business and finance stakeholders to support decision making, strategy development and evaluation of business opportunities by assessing feasibility and profitability
• Support external, internal and any other audit requirements along with SOX compliance
• Review the accuracy of financial models and implement process improvements to create efficiencies and ensure adequate documentation is maintained
• Ability to manage ad‑hoc analytical asks from leadership partnering with others in finance and business

What you’ll bring:

• Professional Accounting Designation, CA, CMA, CGA or MBA
• Knowledge and experience with IFRS 15
• 3-5 years experience in a progressive working environment related to device margin
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an ability to balance multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
• Computer and database skills: Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle Financial
• Knowledge of Rogers specific systems will be an asset
