The Manager, Enterprise Project Management Office, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Toronto Pearson Airport. By leading you'll drive strategic initiatives, oversee complex projects, and foster a culture of innovation. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the transformation of Toronto Pearson into one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world through our transformative capital plan LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals).

As a Manager, Enterprise Project Management Office, you will:

  • Lead strategic planning and initiation by developing comprehensive project plans, which includes scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, securing approvals and funding
  • Oversee project execution, monitor progress, take corrective action as needed, and ensure adherence to timelines, budget, quality standards, organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans, continuously monitor for emerging risks, and take proactive measures to minimize potential issues
  • Implement effective change management processes to adapt to evolving project requirements
  • Prepare regular project reports, track key performance indicators, maintain accurate project documentation
  • Lead and motivate project teams, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future project performance

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • Post-secondary degree in project management, business or a combination of education and experience
  • Project management certification (PMP) or accreditation, as an asset
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance
  • Airport Operations Experience (preferred)

Knowledge and skills you bring, that set you up for success:

  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing multiple concurrent complex, high risk and/or long-term projects from planning to implementation and close out, while ensuring that the projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Knowledge of project monitoring systems including but not limited to, scheduling, cost, risk, quality, and change control
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in assessing and reviewing business processes to identify options, best practices and opportunities to improve service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare process documents, policies and project documents (e.g. business case, feasibility study, budget estimates, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practices and a track record of successful delivery
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues
  • Proven track record of dealing with ambiguous, contentious and complex issues and situations
  • Relationship management skills with an ability to earn the trust of, and work collaboratively with sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a desire to continuously seek and incorporate best practices and technologies in order to optimize program delivery and deliver value
  • High degree of accountability, initiative and creativity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels internally and externally
  • Exceptional personal drive and motivation
