The Canada Operations 1st Line Risk & Controls Team is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual for the role of Manager, E-21 Operational Resilience. This role involves representing Canada Operations in implementing the core components of the OSFI framework. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with extensive operations experience in areas such as insurance, affinity markets, group benefits, contact centres, or project management. Experience working with business collaborators and/or Risk Management is essential, with a focus on delivering key risk program elements.
The role requires collaboration, facilitation (including workshops and interviews), and strong organizational skills while working with subject matter experts across business and functional areas. Additional collaborators include Global ORM, Technology, Legal, Finance, HR, and Compliance.
Collaborate with business partners to deliver core elements of OSFI E-21 Operational Resilience, establishing and maintaining a resiliency framework.
Identify, assess, and improve critical operations and services (COS).
Analyze COS, including scope, impact tolerance, end-to-end mapping, failure points, action plans, and testing.
Partner with COS owners, the Operational Resilience Office, and related programs to align, implement, and monitor remediation efforts.
Navigate cross-functional relationships to address issues, develop strategies, advocate for change, and implement solutions.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or an industry-related certification in operational risk.
At least 5 years of experience with strong knowledge of business processes, risks & controls, or exposure to business operations and projects incorporating risk management methodologies.
Ability to build strong relationships with business partners to facilitate process analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to all organizational levels, including senior management.
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to articulate business impacts of risks and challenge the status quo appropriately.
Confidence to ask pertinent questions and flexibility to update conclusions based on new information.
Experience with process flow analysis, failure mode analysis, and control planning.
Knowledge of insurance, group benefits, affinity markets, or contact centres is advantageous.
Familiarity with OSFI E-21 guidelines is a plus.

Primary Location: Waterloo, Ontario
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Salary Range: $80,700 - $145,260 CAD. For roles outside the primary location, contact us for local salary details. Compensation includes potential incentives based on performance.
