The Manager - Data Engineering & Delivery is responsible for managing data projects and leading a team of BSAs, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers. You will collaborate with business, EPMO, IT leadership, and partners to identify needs and deliver new data solutions using agile and waterfall methodologies.

• Managing scope, design, build, and deployment of data projects such as Datamarts, data warehouses, Data Lake, and Data Store.
• Delivering data solutions aligned with data strategy initiatives.
• Balancing data delivery with ongoing data projects to support IT/EPMO portfolio.
• Reviewing development options and making technical recommendations.
• Guiding data engineering team efforts to implement solutions.
• Establishing standards and continuous improvement in data engineering practices.
• Delivering ETL/ELT code for data initiatives and ensuring code quality.
• Implementing best practices for code management using Azure DevOps.
• Maintaining project documentation and collaborating across teams.
• Managing vendor teams and estimating efforts with solution designers and architects.
• Understanding enterprise data warehouse and data integration concepts.
• Tracking sprint velocities and managing project risks.
• Reporting status to IT leadership and facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Researching new technologies and proposing innovations.
• Managing stakeholder relationships and developing team skills.
• Conducting staff evaluations and managing career development.
• Performing other related duties.

If you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience.
• 10+ years in IT systems, development, and operations.
• 6-8 years supervisory experience leading BSA, Data Engineers.
• Experience with data ingestion, integration, marts, and warehouses.
• Insurance domain knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and application lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and business requirement implementation skills.
• Knowledge of modern application architecture practices.
