About the Role

This role, within the Credit Modeling team, offers opportunities for rotation across various Strategy & Analytics teams, fostering leadership development and growth. You will work on solving complex problems, using data-driven decision making, and supporting strategic initiatives to drive growth and profitability.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and success.
  2. Own business cases with P&L accountability, planning for 1-6 months ahead.
  3. Potentially manage and develop a team of analysts, mentoring and coaching associates.
  4. Coordinate across departments to manage projects, build requirements, and execute growth strategies.
  5. Collaborate with teams across Capital One to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.
  6. Apply analytical and decision-making skills to solve major business challenges.
  7. Build and leverage high-performing teams and business partnerships.
  8. Communicate effectively with executives, influencing strategic decisions.
  9. Drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
  • At least 3 years in qualitative analysis
  • Minimum 1 year in people management
  • Minimum 1 year in project management
  • At least 2 years in market analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate strategy decision-making using analytics, with an understanding of credit cards.
