Job summary

Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp. in Ontario is seeking a Director of Corporate Development to lead strategic projects and acquisitions, including evaluating internal investments, managing the 5-year plan, and supporting the PMO.

You will partner with senior leaders to drive execution and value creation. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in M&A, strong MS Office skills, and a proven track record in cross-functional leadership, communication, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Support & lead the development and evaluation of strategic projects and acquisitions. Strategic projects include evaluation of internal investments, managing the 5-year strategic plan (LTP) and supporting the PMO office.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, model and write the LTP, liaising with key senior members of G&G to align on strategy
• Lead the Project Management Office for G&G, focusing on the projects that will ensure that we deliver the LTP
• Co-ordinate monthly summary of each of the key projects tracking on-time,
• budgets and key actions that need support of the business
• Identify which projects need to be executed in line with the LTP and ensure
• commence on-time
• Track resourcing
• Prepare strategic rationale and operational metrics in support of project analysis
• Engage senior management and collaborate with business leaders to execute goals and to improve the quality of deliverables
• Support the development, evaluation and negotiation of internal investments and acquisitions through the coordination of activities related to mergers and acquisitions including identification, screening, evaluation, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence, closing, and integration of transactions
• Create detailed financial models and produce high quality summary output (i.e. presentations) for communication of conclusions to senior management and to the Board of Directors. Further, critically evaluate business plans and forecast models
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to assess initiatives and develop new tools (i.e. budgeting, capex modeling, marketing/salesforce presentations) to improve productivity or other ad hoc Corporate Development projects.

The Recipe For Success

• University degree in Business or a related field
• 3 years of experience in M&A and building strategy
• Must have exceptional skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must have experience leading cross functional teams and influencing leaders
• Results oriented to lead the change process and plan creation under tight time constraints autonomously
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Strong business acumen/decision making skills to review research/data and translate that into actionable insight
• Manage several deadlines/deliverables in an unstructured environment
