Job summary

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Manager, Corporate Finance Operations to lead a high-performing finance team and drive process improvements. You will optimize Workday and support accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, while coordinating with Procurement, FP&A, Tax, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree and professional accounting designation, such as CPA or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in operational and transactional finance processes, including AP, AR, banking and treasury, internal cost recovery, cost allocation, and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Initiative, drive, and the ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience with Workday Enterprise Management Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team across finance operations.
  • Drive process and system optimization, including adoption of leading practices.
  • Set priorities and manage competing deadlines to support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.
  • Oversee payables, expense management, accounts receivable, treasury, cost allocation, and reconciliations.
  • Partner with Procurement, FP&A, Tax, and other stakeholders to support accurate reporting, compliance, and alignment across finance processes.
  • Ensure data integrity, maintain strong internal controls, and support business continuity requirements.
  • Document and standardize processes while driving continuous improvement.
  • Support financial accounting, management, and reporting of actual results.
  • Adhere to compliance and risk management policies and directives.

Relocation support is available for candidates relocating to Victoria.SALARY RANGEThe annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $125,000 to $150,000.BCI offers a competitive total rewards package, including a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan, and paid time off. The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity.
