Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical and Corporate Accounting, the Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for the financial processes, reporting, and related analysis for Emera Inc. and other corporate and holding companies. This role is cross-functional, and you will work closely with operations across the Emera enterprise in a variety of jurisdictions.
The successful candidate is an experienced financial professional with at least five years of progressive relevant experience and an undergraduate degree in finance or accounting with an accounting designation. You are a proven leader and demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills. You demonstrate professional judgement and maturity, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner under tight financial reporting deadlines while upholding confidentiality.
As the Manager, Corporate Accounting you encourage innovation, lead change to ensure continuous improvement demonstrating integrity, and set clear expectations for a high standard of work performance for yourself and the Corporate Accounting team. Lastly it is your responsibility to connect every decision to the company strategy and apply sound judgment to translate new ideas into actions.
