Job summary

Tandemsearch is seeking a Manager-level strategy consultant to join its internal consulting team within a leading global mining and heavy industry business. You will focus on operations strategy, performance improvement, transformation and CapEx, working with senior leaders across global operations to drive end-to-end projects.

Ideal candidates come from a top-tier firm (MBB or similar), with strong leadership and stakeholder skills, and experience in asset-heavy sectors.

Qualifications

• Manager-level candidate from top-tier strategy consulting firm (MBB or equivalent).
• Strong leadership and project-management capabilities required.
• Experience in industrials/mining/resources or other asset-heavy sectors preferred.
• Background in operations strategy, performance improvement, transformation or CapEx.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end within the internal consulting team.
• Manage client relationships with senior business leaders across global operations.
• Coach and develop project teams to deliver results.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape transformation programs and CapEx delivery.

Job description

We are hiring a Manager-level strategy consultant to join the internal consulting team of a leading global mining / heavy industry business.

The role will focus on operations strategy, operational improvement, transformation and CapEx, working with senior business leaders across global operations. You will lead projects end-to-end, manage client relationships and coach project teams.

Ideal profile

• Current Manager or equivalent from MBB or another top-tier strategy consulting firm
• Strong project leadership, problem-solving and senior stakeholder management
• Experience in industrials, mining, resources or other asset-heavy sectors preferred
• Background in operations strategy, performance improvement, transformation or CapEx
• French preferred, but not essential for a strong candidate
• Open to relocating to Canada and ideally able to start this year
• Around 40 hours per week
• Flexibility to travel more or less depending on preference
