As Regional Construction Manager - Ontario, you will lead the execution of construction projects across the province, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to McDonald’s high standards. You’ll collaborate closely with the Regional Real Estate Manager to identify and execute development opportunities that maximize capital investment and market potential. This role also involves leading a team of Area Construction Managers and Project Specialists, as well as managing relationships with external consultants and contractors.

- Collaborate with the Regional Real Estate Manager, Design Team, and Spatial Team to analyze market potential and prioritize development opportunities
- Contribute to the creation of the regional vision plan and 3-year development roadmap
- Validate project timelines through expertise in permitting and construction
- Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from planning to completion
- Ensure adherence to McDonald’s site development standards and quality benchmarks
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage permitting, zoning, and utility approvals, including MTO approvals, SPA, ESA, and other municipal, provincial, and federal hurdles.
- Prepare and present construction contract packages for executive approval, including business case for non-standard projects.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of construction professionals
- Foster strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, owner/operators, and cross-functional teams
- Champion corporate policies and drive continuous improvement
- **Industry Experience:** Proven experience in food service, retail, or QSR construction
- **Technical Knowledge:** Strong understanding of National and Provincial Building Codes, construction methods, and permitting processes
- **Leadership:** Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive strategic outcomes
- **Communication:** Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
- **Project Management:** Skilled in managing multiple projects and making critical decisions under pressure
- **Problem Solving:** Effective conflict resolution and stakeholder management
- **Adaptability:** Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment with up to 30% travel
- **Tech Savvy:** Proficient with digital tools and adaptable to new systems
