The Property Tax Manager ("Manager") oversees a team of Senior Consultants/Consultants to deliver property tax consulting services for assigned clients. The Manager maintains existing client relationships and focuses on property tax management and minimization opportunities. The Manager reviews and evaluates appeal positions, makes appeal recommendations and manages the appeal process for Ryan clients. This includes enforcing policies, standards and guidelines, researching tax issues, reviewing valuations of real property, negotiating assessment reduction and settlements, and the preparation and presentation of assessment appeals and supporting litigation. The Manager is responsible for creating positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the Firm. The ideal candidate with have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills. The successful candidate will be effective in researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations. This is an onsite role in Calgary, AB Monday-Friday with some potential flexibility to work remotely.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
This position directly supervises employees in the Property Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws.
Compensation Disclosure: The Company makes offers based on many factors, including qualifications and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation. For candidates in Canada, the base salary hiring range is $76,000 - $110,000 CAD.
