Job summary

RBC in Laval, Quebec, seeks a senior leader to guide a premier Business Markets team in delivering exceptional client experience and growth. You will coach, recruit, and develop talent, while expanding relationships with business owners and partners across RBC.

You will drive portfolio performance, promote digital enablement, and build strong community networks to strengthen RBC's market position in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of financial analysis and risk assessment.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (web meetings, social media, digital banking, mobile apps).

Responsibilities

  • Coach team to attract, grow and retain client relationships and promote full RBC product solutions.

  • Develop team credit skills and oversight for portfolio management activities and credit risk.
  • Build and maintain a network with business leaders, COIs and community groups to promote RBC.
  • Promote digital enablement so clients leverage digital banking solutions.

Job Description

You will lead a best-in-class business markets team to maximize RBC’s position in the market and bring the best of RBC to businesses and their owners. You will coach your team to deliver an exceptional client experience leading to the retention, acquisition and growth of target Business client relationships. You will build high employee engagement through recruiting, talent management, professional development and ongoing coaching, growing diverse talent for today and the future. Your passion in creating success for our clients, employees and communities will be the key to your success in this role.

What will you do?
  • Coach team to focus on attracting, growing and retaining client relationships and introducing the full breadth of RBC partners and a broad range of products and solutions to deepen relationships through needs based advice
  • Recruit and develop top talent; lead successful change management and support the team to deliver a differentiated client experience
  • Develop your team’s capabilities including their credit skills; maintain oversight to ensure action is taken to preserve satisfactory operational and credit effectiveness through portfolio management activities and routines
  • Demonstrate your market leadership by promoting the RBC brand and enhancing visibility by developing and maintaining a network in the business community, working closely with business leaders, COI’s, and community groups
  • Promote digital enablement with your team by becoming an advocate for ensuring clients are set up to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and risk assessment and familiarity with the dynamics, needs and financing challenges associated with business clients
  • Strong coaching and leadership capabilities to create and sustain a high performing professional team
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business and community networks
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e. web based meetings,social media, digital banking, and mobile applications), and knowledge of both traditional and non-traditional competitors
  • English : Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of a broad array of business financial products and services, such as credit and investments is an asset
  • Commercial Banking and/or Business Markets experience an asset
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
