The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Business Diversification, the Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in advancing IHS’ strategic growth agenda. This position is ideal for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial business development professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, building partnerships, and turning ideas into bottom line realized revenue.

You will work across healthcare, disability management, rehabilitation, employer services, mental health, and emerging healthcare sectors to identify opportunities for growth, develop innovative solutions, and bring new business from concept to implementation. You'll collaborate closely with clinical leaders, operational teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure successful integration of new programs and services.

Success in this role requires strategic thinking, curiosity, relationship-building expertise, and a genuine passion for creating value through healthcare innovation and achieving results.

What You’ll Do:

As Manager, Business Development and Integration, you will be a key driver of IHS' growth and innovation agenda. Working alongside clinical leaders, operational teams, and executive stakeholders, you will identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and help bring new healthcare solutions to life. In this role, you will:

  • Shape the future of healthcare delivery by identifying new opportunities for growth, innovation, and impact across healthcare, rehabilitation, disability management, mental health, and emerging service sectors.
  • Transform ideas into reality by leading the development of new programs, services, and partnerships that address real healthcare challenges while supporting the long-term sustainability of publicly funded healthcare.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with employers, insurers, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and other key stakeholders to advance shared goals and improve health outcomes.
  • Lead high-impact business development initiatives, from opportunity identification and market exploration through to proposal development, contract acquisition, and successful implementation to achieve identified bottom line revenue contributions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and ambassador for IHS and THP, developing strong relationships and communicating a compelling vision for partnership and innovation.
  • Leverage market intelligence and industry insights to identify trends, anticipate future needs, and help shape strategic decisions that position IHS for continued growth and success.
  • Champion collaboration across teams, bringing together clinical expertise, operational excellence, and business strategy to ensure new opportunities are effectively designed, implemented, and scaled.
  • Develop and nurture a robust pipeline of opportunities, creating sustainable growth that allows IHS to expand its reach and impact across Ontario and beyond.
  • Represent IHS in the marketplace, building networks, participating in industry events, and establishing relationships that open doors to new possibilities.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement, helping our organization challenge conventional thinking and discover new ways to deliver exceptional healthcare services
Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Business or Health related field required; Regulated Health Care provider preferred;
  • Master’s degree or current registration in a Graduate program preferred (e.g. Business Administration, Health Administration, Leadership) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years (5) of leadership experience in similar or identical field
  • Minimum of five years (5) of relevant third-party sales and business development relevant industry experience (disability management, insurance, rehabilitation etc.)
  • Self-starter, able to work to achieve goals with minimal direction; highly accountable.
  • Healthcare knowledge required to develop new business lines; ideally a Regulated Health Professional with extensive business skills and financial acumen e.g., Pro-forma creation, business case development.
  • Ability to work in a systematic way in a high-pressured, fast-paced, results driven environment.
  • Ability to juggle high number of activities often with competing timelines.
  • Ability to develop trusting relationships quickly and to present clearly and articulately, explaining THP’s value proposition and being an excellent ambassador for THP, often to external organization leaders.
